Abortion Information

“One of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone.”Shannon L. Alder

You’re facing one of the most challenging situations you can face in life, but before you overwhelm yourself, we want you to know, we are in this with you! You are not alone. Just like a crowd cheering for a marathon runner, we are cheering for you!

If you’re considering abortion, there are three things you should know:

  1. Abortion procedures vary depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy.
  2. There are risks associated with each type of abortion.
  3. As many as half of all pregnancies may end in miscarriage.

What should you do first?

We suggest confirming your pregnancy, not only with a high-quality pregnancy test but also with an ultrasound. If you’re miscarrying, you won’t need an abortion, and an ultrasound can determine this for you. If you do have a viable pregnancy, you will need to know before your abortion, how far along you are in your pregnancy. Only an ultrasound exam can accurately determine gestational age.

If I make an appointment, what else will I be offered?

  • Pre-Abortion Counseling, this is a pre-requisite for abortion in many states.
  • STI testing and treatment. Before a surgical abortion, testing and treatment are imperative as not to exacerbate the infection(s). (Same as above, we should make it clear that we refer for STI testing and are note medical)

Why not schedule a free consultation? This is a big decision, and you should know the facts and what to expect before an abortion is performed. This is your body, and you deserve to have the answers to your questions and concerns.
